Angie Crossin is, and has always been, a go-getter. She has set her standards high, and will continue to fight for progress until her vision has been reached. Working in the public for many years, Angie Crossin has a history of excellence, and holds the public interest very close to heart.
Angie grew up in a military family and understands the concept of community. Military is where her early sense of community was forged with other military kids during family camping trips, gatherings, and dinners.
After growing up in Springfield, Illinois, which was home to Abe Lincoln, Angie went on to study comparative politics at the University of Illinois. She has a love for the political process and it comes naturally.
Angie's grandfather was a local politician in central Illinois who went on to become a leading salesman for a political supply company out of the quad cities in Iowa. Her grandparents traveled a tri-state area meeting with county clerks and recorders who became some of their closest friends.
Early on the seed was planted and she pursued a law degree at Valparaiso University, which brought her to Valparaiso. She and her family fell in love with the area and have made it home for the past twenty years.
Giving back is a way of life for Angie and her family. Angie is married to Brad and they have three boys: Brody (22), Reece (18), and Peter (14). Bosworth, a rescue dog, from Lakeshore Paws joined the family in 2017.
To borrow a quote, "My main reason for running is that I have always been interested in local government. It's also something I feel I owe as an obligation to my country."
